REEVES--Passed away in the city on Wednesday, March 2nd, 1977, Mr. Thomas Gordon Reeves at the age of 83 years, beloved husband of Mrs. Hazel Mildred Reeves of 1614-12 Ave S. Born in St. Lawrence, Newfoundland, the late Mr. Reeves served overseas with the Third CMR in the First World War and was taken prisoner at the third Battle of Ypres in 1916. Following the war he was Farm Land Appraiser and Settlement Officer for the Department of Veteran's Affairs for 10 years. In 1943 he moved to Lethbridge where he resided until his passing. Besides his loving wife he is survived by one son, Mr. John Reeves of Medicine Hat; five daughters: Mrs. Joy Fry of Calgary, Mrs. Dorothy Alius of New York State, Mrs. Vaughn Conroy of Edmonton, Mrs. Ferne Upright of Calgary, Mrs. Kay Riley of Fort Saskatchewan; 17 grandchildren; five great-grand- children; one brother, Mr. Harry N. Reeves of Waterton Park. He was predeceased by two sisters and five brothers.
